Young math whiz Ugwoezuonu Ogechi Zara has clinched a remarkable achievement, securing a substantial N21 million scholarship for her stellar performance in the National Mathematics Competition. Her perfect score of 100% in the primary category, organized by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria, earned her this prestigious recognition.
Education advocate Alex Onyia proudly announced Zara’s feat, highlighting her exceptional talent in mathematics. As a result of her outstanding performance, Zara has been granted a full six-year scholarship valued at N21 million to pursue her education at Evergreen College in Enugu.
The National Mathematics Competition, a highly esteemed event organized annually by the Mathematics Association of Nigeria, attracts gifted young minds from all corners of the country, fostering healthy competition and academic excellence.
In a separate development, Divine Rays British School in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State celebrated six of its students for emerging as top performers in the recently concluded 2024 National Mathematics Competition, organized by Catalyst Consulting across various states.
