Amidst the ongoing inquiry into the unfortunate passing of Nigerian hip-hop artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, the National Medical Services Laboratories (NMS Labs) in Pennsylvania, USA, has refuted claims made by the Lagos State Government regarding the conduct of a toxicology test at its facility.
In response to inquiries made by our correspondent, the NMS Labs categorically denied any involvement in conducting a toxicology test to ascertain the cause of Mohbad’s death. Esther Dede, Client Services Associate at the Forensics Division of NMS Labs, stated, “Unfortunately, we do not have a case for that patient.”
The controversy surrounding the toxicology test arose after conflicting reports emerged regarding its purported conduct at the NMS Labs. Despite claims made by the state government, the lab has clarified that no such test was carried out at their facility.
