The funding opportunity, known as the David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health, covers all expenses for students intending to study in the UK.
This offer is open to Nigerian and international students aiming to pursue master’s programs under scholarships, which also include coverage for travel expenses.
The David Sainsbury Scholarships in Global Plant Health is specifically for candidates interested in pursuing an MSc in Plant Health at the University of East Anglia for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Besides tuition fees, the scholarship also covers living stipends and transportation allowances, amounting to £33,150 (N44.3 million) and £4,000 (N5.3 million), respectively.
Prospective candidates must apply and secure admission to the University of East Anglia before being considered for the scholarships, as outlined on the school’s website.

Eligible applicants will automatically be considered for the scholarship based on academic achievements, awards, and expertise in molecular biology, genetics, data science, laboratory skills, and independent study.
For Nigerian applicants, the UEA Nigeria Award scholarship is automatically awarded to all self-funded Nigerian students applying for a Master’s course at UEA starting in September 2024. The scholarship, worth £4,000, increases to £5,000 for those with a final undergraduate grade of CGPA 4.1 and above.
Applications for the scholarship are currently open and are set to close on May 31, 2024.
