UK Supports Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda

 

The United Kingdom’s support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda took center stage at a high-level dialogue event in Abuja, signaling international recognition of Nigeria’s strides towards security, transparency, and governance.

 

British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, lauded President Tinubu’s security strategies and emphasized the UK government’s commitment to supporting Nigeria in various facets of governance. Speaking at the High-level Dialogue on Delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda, Montgomery commended Tinubu’s agenda for its focus on priorities and delivery.

 

Echoing Montgomery’s sentiments, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, highlighted the role of international cooperation in advancing the goals of Tinubu’s agenda. The gathering, initiated by the Office of the Vice President, underscored the collaborative efforts aimed at realizing the agenda’s remarkable objectives.

 

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, praised the stakeholders’ engagement led by Vice President Shettima, emphasizing the importance of reflecting on past achievements and charting a course for the future under Tinubu’s leadership.

Reflecting on Tinubu’s first year in office, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, acknowledged the administration’s successes amid challenges. Bagudu emphasized the government’s commitment to renewing hope for Nigerians, highlighting its engagement with global and local institutions to drive development partnerships.

 

Affirming Nigeria’s dedication to fostering beneficial partnerships, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, reiterated Tinubu’s inclusive foreign policy and commitment to unlocking Nigeria’s economic potential. He emphasized the country’s resolve to collaborate with the global community for mutual benefit.

 

Managing Director of the Bank of Industry, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, emphasized the critical role of strategic partnerships in achieving Tinubu’s agenda. He highlighted the transformative impact of international cooperation on economic growth and inclusive development, citing the Bank of Industry’s firsthand experience under the Tinubu administration.
