UK-based Nigerian Doctor Loses Medical Licences Over Botox Scandal

A UK-based Nigerian doctor, Tijion Esho, has had his medical licences revoked after being found guilty of exchanging free Botox injections for sexual favors, as per a report by Telegraph.

Known for his expertise in cosmetic surgery, Dr. Esho frequently appeared on popular TV shows like ITV’s This Morning and BBC’s Morning Live, offering insights into various cosmetic procedures. He also made appearances on E4’s Body Fixers.

During a hearing before the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service, Dr. Esho admitted to an improper emotional relationship with a woman identified as Patient A, with whom he exchanged inappropriate sexual messages on Instagram. The tribunal found evidence that Dr. Esho engaged in sexual intercourse with Patient A at his clinic in Newcastle upon Tyne and administered free Botox injections.

Furthermore, the tribunal determined that Dr. Esho made inappropriate comments about Patient A’s appearance during consultations, engaged in sexual activity with her, and sent explicit messages via Instagram over several months.

As a result of his misconduct, Dr. Esho’s fitness to practise was deemed impaired, leading to the decision to remove his name from the medical register.

The tribunal’s decision underscores the seriousness of Dr. Esho’s actions and serves as a warning against unethical behavior within the medical profession.
