The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has resumed issuing visas to Nigerian passport holders. This follows a new agreement signed between the Federal Government of Nigeria and the UAE.
The announcement was made by Mohammed Idris, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, during a press briefing at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday. According to Minister Idris, the agreement is effective immediately, enabling Nigerians to apply for visas to the UAE without delay.
“Nigeria has been in discussions with the UAE regarding visa issuance for our citizens. Today, we reached a positive resolution. Starting from July 15th, Nigerian passport holders can obtain visas to travel to the UAE,” Minister Idris confirmed.
Further details of the agreement are expected to be released later today, but the key outcome is clear: Nigerians can now resume travel plans to the UAE under the new visa framework.
