Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to inaugurate the highly anticipated African Anti-Terrorism Summit on Monday, according to a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
Organized by Nigeria, in collaboration with the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, the summit aims to bolster regional cooperation and institutional frameworks in combating the evolving threat of terrorism across the continent.
The summit is expected to draw the participation of heads of state, senior government officials from various African nations, representatives from international organizations, and members of civil society.
With a focus on promoting African-led solutions, the summit seeks to revamp the global response to terrorism in Africa, emphasizing the importance of multilateral collaboration and capacity building among member states.

Notable attendees include Ms. Amina Mohammed, the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, who will grace the occasion.
The summit will also feature insights from Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser, and Mr. Vladimir Voronkov, the Under-Secretary-General for Counter-Terrorism, UNOCT, who will deliver closing remarks, underscoring the collective commitment to combat terrorism in Africa.
