President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to depart Abuja on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, heading for Dakar, Senegal, to partake in the inauguration ceremony of Senegal’s President-elect, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
A statement released by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, clarified that Tinubu’s visit follows an official invitation extended by the Republic of Senegal.
In line with his role as the Chairman of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will join fellow regional leaders in witnessing the inauguration ceremony at the Diamniadio Exhibition Centre on Tuesday.

Accompanying the President on this journey will be Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, alongside other prominent government officials.
Following the conclusion of the inauguration, President Tinubu is expected to promptly return to Nigeria.
