Tinubu Engages Brazil’s President to Boost Nigeria-Brazil Relations

President Bola Tinubu held a significant meeting with Brazilian President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, during the African Union General Assembly in Ethiopia. The encounter aimed to strengthen bilateral ties in trade, commerce, and culture between Nigeria and Brazil.

The discussions highlighted on the President’s official channel, both leaders explored avenues to elevate trade volumes, foster agricultural and aviation investments, and establish direct flights between the two nations. These initiatives aim to stimulate mutual growth and trade opportunities.

President Tinubu’s visit to Ethiopia for the AU summit also yielded notable achievements. He was honored as the AU Champion for Human Resources for Health and Community Health Delivery Partnership. Additionally, Nigeria’s commitment to hosting the African Central Bank in 2028, aligned with the Abuja Treaty’s vision, was reaffirmed during the summit.

Tinubu’s diplomatic efforts underscore Nigeria’s proactive stance in fostering global partnerships and advancing regional integration in Africa.
