“During the tenure of the immediate past Governor of the State, Engr David Umahi the Nigerian Association of Industrial Pharmacists reached an agreement with the government in Joint understanding (or pact) to establish the project. We since have gone ahead after we received the Certificate of Occupancy to do the preliminary work of getting designs, drawings, layout and other geo-technical studies and, we got a 100-hectare park.
“However, since the new Governor came we have never had an opportunity to meet with him to ensure that all of us are on the same page. This is why we are here today to meet with him and brief him on what we have done and to seek his continuous support; for him to give us additional comfort so that our investors who are going to come from all over the world will be comfortable. And secondly to ensure the government supports us so that the Park will be attractive to the investors and, also offer infrastructural incentives in order to make the Salt City Pharma Park an industrial destination in the pharmaceutical value-chain.
In response, Governor Nwifuru expressed the firm’s warm welcome to the State and gave them assurances about a favorable business environment.
He clarified that the State government is willing to cooperate with and welcome sincere investors, promising to make sure they would experience the friendliness and peace of the State and its people.
