The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has warmly welcomed the upcoming visit of Their Royal Highnesses, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, to Nigeria in May 2024.
During their visit, the royal couple will engage with service members and partake in various cultural activities, highlighting the strong bond between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Prince Harry, known for founding the Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded service personnel, aims to further promote its mission during his time in Nigeria. The games, which foster recovery pathways and societal recognition for injured soldiers, have garnered global participation and support.

The Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru, has already pledged Nigeria’s commitment to hosting the games, reflecting the country’s dedication to supporting its armed forces and promoting international collaboration in rehabilitation efforts.
