Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are set to embark on a significant journey to Nigeria, arriving on Friday, May 10, 2024. Their visit, extended as an invitation from Gen. Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, holds a special purpose in supporting the recovery efforts of wounded soldiers.
Prince Harry, known for his dedication to initiatives like the Invictus Games, will dedicate three days to engaging with wounded soldiers and their families, fostering a positive outlook on life and aiding in their recovery journey. This visit stems from Nigeria’s participation in the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany.
During their stay, the royal couple will visit the Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna State, where they will interact closely with the soldiers undergoing medical treatment. Additionally, they will partake in a friendly volleyball match between the CDS team and the Duke’s team at the armed forces Officers’ Mess, providing a unique opportunity for camaraderie and support.
