Peter Obi Calls on Muslims to Embrace Prophet Muhammad’s Teachings for Strength and Unity

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has urged Muslims to find strength and inspiration in the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) amid the current challenges and uncertainties. His heartfelt message was delivered in a statement by his spokesperson, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, in celebration of Eid-al-Adha.

 

In his message, Obi extended his warmest wishes to Muslims, emphasizing the significance of Eid-al-Adha, the festival of sacrifice. He encouraged the Muslim community to deepen their faith and draw closer to Allah, each other, and their true potential as individuals and as a nation.

 

“My dear Muslim brothers and sisters, as we gather to celebrate Eid-al-Adha, I want to extend my warmest wishes to you all. May this Sallah bring us all closer to Allah, to one another, and to our true potential as individuals and as a nation,” Obi stated.

 

Obi highlighted the enduring values taught by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), such as unwavering trust in Allah, courage, and the willingness to sacrifice for the greater good. He called on Muslims to embody these principles, especially in times of adversity.

 

“Amid challenges and uncertainties, let us draw strength from our faith and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). His unwavering trust in Allah, his courage, and his willingness to sacrifice for the greater good are objects of inspiration to us all,” Obi said.
