The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Europe Chapter, is urging Air Peace, Nigeria’s flagship carrier, to extend its flight services to additional parts of Europe, including France, Italy, Sweden, and Germany.
Governor of the council, Ambassador Collins Idahosa, emphasized that expanding Air Peace’s operations beyond the Lagos-London route would not only strengthen its foothold but also alleviate forex demand and potentially lower airfares.
Idahosa highlighted, “With the successful acquisition of Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, coupled with the recent launch of the Lagos-London route, we encourage Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, to explore opportunities in other European destinations.”

He stressed the benefits of such expansion, noting it would serve the interests of Nigerians and other residents across Europe while contributing to forex conservation.
Furthermore, Idahosa urged the government, particularly the Ministry of Aviation, to provide continuous support and incentives to Air Peace and other domestic airlines capable of expanding their international presence.
