The family of the late Nollywood luminary, Amaechi Muonagor, has announced the funeral arrangements for the revered actor.
A burial poster released by the family reveals that Muonagor will be interred in his hometown of Ugamuma village, Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.
Friends, fans, and well-wishers are invited to join the family in honoring Muonagor’s legacy and paying their final respects to the legendary actor, whose impactful contributions to the film industry are deeply cherished.
The funeral proceedings will commence on Thursday, June 20, 2024, with a service of songs at his residence, starting at 6 pm.
On Friday, June 21, 2024, the funeral service will commence at 7 am, with Muonagor’s body being conveyed from Crown Hospital Mortuary to his residence for lying in state. Subsequently, the burial service will take place at 10 am at his residence, Nze Amaechi Muonagor, School of Health, Ugamuma Obosi, followed by interment at his compound in Ugamuma village.

The ceremony will conclude with an outing thanksgiving service at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ugamuma Obosi, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 10 am.
In a statement, the family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, inviting all to join them in celebrating the life of the beloved Nollywood icon, Nze Amaechi Muonagor.
The actor passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the age of 67, after battling prolonged kidney-related issues, diabetes, and stroke. Known for his remarkable versatility and captivating performances, Muonagor endeared himself to audiences through his adept portrayal of roles in both comedic and epic movies.
