Olatosho Oshoffa, son of the founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, Bilewu Oshoffa, sheds light on polygamy within the church, asserting that it’s not forbidden.
As the shepherd of CCC International Headquarters in Ketu, Lagos, Olatosho defends his late father’s polygamous lifestyle, citing biblical examples where prophets had multiple wives.
He dismisses concerns about his father’s marital status, emphasizing that despite having multiple wives, God chose him to establish the CCC 76 years ago.
Addressing criticisms, Olatosho highlights the unity within his father’s large family, attributing it to his father’s love and guidance, which fostered a sense of kinship among his children.
Regarding the leadership crisis in the Celestial Church, Olatosho compares it to historical disputes in other religious institutions, expressing optimism that the issues will be resolved.
He asserts that his eldest brother, Rev. Emmanuel Oshoffa, is the acknowledged leader of the church, maintaining stability and continuity in CCC’s leadership.
