Dr Davison Nnamani, a former Labour Party (LP) candidate for governor of Enugu State, has praised President Bola Tinubu for his ability to address the myriad socio-political issues facing Nigeria, including economic hardships, insecurity, and other issues. He pointed out that the APC is currently in a position to seize power in Enugu State as a result of the flood of state leaders and grassroots politicians who have expressed interest in joining the party, while other party defectors have re-joined to alter the national ruling party.
With their extensive backgrounds in both the public and commercial sectors, he said, they have come together to assist President Tinubu, who is revitalising the third tier of government with the bill he recently submitted to the National Assembly for local government autonomy.Nnamani made the comments yesterday during his reception at Ikem ward 1 in the Enugu State local government area. This was after he rejoined the APC and re-registered as a member in his ward.
Chief Tony Mbah, the previous APC senatorial candidate for Enugu East, Hon. Paul Olinya and his executive, Mr. Chinedu Obule, the chairman of the APC’s Ikem ward 1 committee, and numerous other APC members from the Isi-Uzo local government area were among those who welcomed him.
Speaking during the reception, Nnamani said, “We want to join Chief Bola Tinubu to build a progressive Nigeria. We are in a Nigeria where insecurity, food shortage and a lot of other problems are confronting the country. He inherited problems that are enormous but he has the capacity to solve these problems and we as the people in the grassroots have to give him all the necessary support.
