In a swift operation, Lagos Rapid Response Squad officers thwarted a daring bid to hijack their patrol bike in Ikeja. The 19-year-old suspect, Akinjobi Wahab, was nabbed, while his four accomplices managed to evade capture. Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, revealed this in an official statement.
According to Hundeyin, the plainclothes officers, on routine patrol, encountered Wahab wielding a machete, attempting to seize their motorcycle. The arrest took place around 4 am on Acme Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, with the other suspects fleeing the scene.
