Kenneth Okonkwo Exposes Himself as a Mole: Labour Party Responds in

The Labour Party (LP) has addressed the resignation of Kenneth Okonkwo, a former member of its 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, branding him as one of several moles within the party. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, made this revelation on Sunday in Abuja, highlighting that Okonkwo’s departure was anticipated.

Ifoh remarked, “Okonkwo’s resignation didn’t come to us as a surprise.” He noted that the party had long suspected Okonkwo’s allegiance, hinting at his involvement in internal disruptions.

The party expressed disappointment over Okonkwo’s recent criticisms of LP leader Peter Obi. Ifoh stated, “We find his attack on Peter Obi unfortunate. However, we choose not to dignify his remarks with a response, understanding his craving for attention.”

This resignation follows a pattern observed within the party. Recently, a former Director-General of the presidential campaign organization resigned and rejoined the APC, as did a former deputy Director-General. “Today, it’s Okonkwo’s turn. A former APC member who infiltrated our presidential campaign, and his destination is clear to us,” Ifoh added.

Ifoh condemned the actions of political opportunists, stating, “Nigeria has no shortage of political jesters and jobbers whose primary concern is self-interest. The Labour Party remains undisturbed by Okonkwo’s decision to move on. We wish him well in his future endeavors, be it in acting, law practice, politics, or otherwise.”

Labour Party Affirms Support for Peter Obi in 2027 Presidential Election

The Labour Party is aware of other moles attempting to create internal strife. Ifoh urged these individuals to take action before they are exposed. “We are aware of other individuals planted to instigate crisis within the party. We urge them to act swiftly before they are exposed and removed.”

Despite these challenges, the Labour Party remains steadfast in its support for Peter Obi. “We stand firm with Peter Obi as our leader and presidential candidate for the 2027 election. Coordinated attacks will not diminish the trust Nigerians, especially the youth, have in him. With Obi, a new Nigeria is possible,” Ifoh asserted.

The Labour Party believes that Nigerians spoke loudly in 2023 and will speak even louder in 2027, signaling continued support for their vision of a better Nigeria.
