The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated the sale of Direct Entry registration forms across Nigeria and in select international centers. According to JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the registration process kicks off on February 28, 2024, and concludes on March 28, 2024.
The registration opportunity extends to foreign candidates aspiring for tertiary education in Nigeria via the Direct Entry mode. JAMB emphasizes its commitment to fairness for all candidates, regardless of their background.
However, JAMB warns that applications from institutions refusing to verify A’level certificates presented by candidates for the 2023 admission won’t be processed.
Candidates not awaiting results must upload their A’level qualifications, O’level results, and DE registration template during registration. No DE candidate will be considered for admission until their claimed results are uploaded and verified by their awarding institutions through the Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform.
DE candidates awaiting A’level results of IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB must upload their Admission Letter and Registration Template during registration. For pre-2018 Cambridge certificate holders, verification should be done directly through Cambridge.

The verification process may take up to 28 days, after which the result will be forwarded to the Board and reflected on the candidate’s e-Facility profile. Statement of results (in lieu of certificate) is accepted for registration within three years of the award date.
JAMB also offers a window for UTME to DE upgrade, exclusively for candidates whose DE results are pending at UTME registration, provided they indicated they’re awaiting A’level results and provided necessary details in the uploaded registration template.
