As the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) approaches, both the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the Nigeria Police are cautioning candidates against falling prey to fake websites for printing exam slips.
In a joint press conference held in Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, highlighted the emergence of numerous fraudulent sites designed to deceive candidates into providing sensitive personal information. These sites, he warned, pose a significant threat to candidates’ privacy and the integrity of the examination process.
Candidates are strongly advised to print their UTME Notification Slips exclusively from JAMB’s official website, www.jamb.gov.ng, or from any of the accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers nationwide. Adejobi emphasized that any other website claiming to offer slip printing services is fraudulent and should be avoided at all costs.

Furthermore, candidates are urged to steer clear of sites promising ‘live’ questions and answers, as accessing such materials is strictly prohibited. The Nigeria Police Force, in collaboration with JAMB, is actively combating online scams and cyber-related crimes to ensure a fair and transparent examination process.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB Spokesperson, reiterated the Board’s commitment to its mandate and cautioned candidates against falling for unsolicited messages, which are often scams targeting unsuspecting individuals.
With the 2024 UTME slated to kick off on April 19th and conclude on April 29th, candidates are reminded to remain vigilant and exercise caution when engaging with online platforms to safeguard their interests and ensure a smooth examination experience.
