The Imo Social Contract Group (ISCG), a group dedicated to good governance, has tasked recently appointed Imo State officials with giving their all in their new roles.
Additionally, the organisation exhorted Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma to persevere in his attempts to turn the state into a centre of growth in Nigeria and not be sidetracked.
The organisation made this statement while praising the governor for selecting his personal assistants, such as Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma, as deputy chief of staff (general services), based on qualifications, experience, and skill.
The group said the governor rose “above close-minded and divisive sentiments” to source for best hands as aides in line with his administration’s resolve to harness home-grown proficiencies to guarantee multisectoral good governance and productivity in the state.

A statement by the group’s convener Dr. Fabian Ihekweme, described the deputy chief of staff’s appointment “as a step in the right direction as it is fundamentally based on merit considering his competence, administrative expertise, wealth of experience, record of performance and undisputed allegiance to the state.”
In order to make Imo State a centre of growth in Nigeria, the organisation asked “Governor Uzodimma not to be distracted or relented in his genuine efforts and steps, especially in ensuring security, infrastructural development, and empowerment of citizens in critical areas of life.”
