Imo Police Commissioner To Residents: Go About Your Monday Activities

Aboki Danjuma, the commissioner of police for Imo State, has advised citizens to go about their Monday activities without worrying about being harassed by sit-at-home law enforcers.

In certain areas of Imo State, the practice has persisted in limiting the mobility of the populace, including their access to medical facilities.

During a confidence-building patrol yesterday, Danjuma addressed command officers and advised the locals to go about their Monday activities without fear of being harassed by Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

He said that the command had set up mechanisms to stifle the separatist group’s actions, especially during Monday’s sit-in.

He said that the state’s and Southeast’s economies have been impacted by the illicit operations of the IPOB and its armed affiliate, Eastern Security Network (ESN).

This is an exercise in operation show of force and confidence-building patrol that is taking place all throughout the state. This ongoing effort aims to deter criminality and terminate the harmful and unlawful sit-at-home directive by the IPOB/ESN, which has severely harmed the Southeast and state’s economies.
