Imo Governor Offers Automatic Employment To Two Indigenes With First Class In Law School

 

Senator Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State, has approved the immediate hiring of Mr. Chinonso Oparaji and Mrs. Chipuruime Udeh, two Imo State natives who graduated with First Class in Law from both Imo State University and the Nigerian Law School. He gave his approval during a courtesy call on him at Government House in Owerri on Monday, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Prof. U.U. Chukwumaeze (SAN), the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. C. K. Okorie (SAN), and Imo State’s Chief Judge, Hon. Theresa Chikeka.

 

 

Receiving them, the Governor said that he was delighted and happy with the news of two Imo State Law graduates who made First Class at the Law School, noting that “it was a thing of joy and they needed to be appreciated.”

 

He went on to say that when they had distinguished themselves with exceptional performances worthy of emulation, he was delighted to further encourage them by approving their immediate employment. The Governor stated that acknowledging the duo served as an encouragement to other Imo pupils and an example of hard work paying off.

He praised Imo State University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Chukwumaeze SAN, as well as the management and staff, for restoring hope to the university “in this period of Renewed Hope Agenda.” He encouraged other kids to believe that by being committed and dedicated to their studies, they can achieve great things. Governor Uzodimma thanked the graduates on behalf of the Imo State government and asked them to do everything they could to remedy the systemic and societal evils, since the rot is deep.

 

Mr. Oparaji and Mrs. Udeh, who were accompanied by relatives, expressed their delight at the Governor’s generosity, describing it as a prize for hard effort. They encouraged fellow Law students, as well as those studying other courses at the university, to always give their utmost if they want to succeed. Senator Osita Isunaso, who represents Imo West in the National Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Cosmas Iwu, the Chief of Staff, Barr. Nnamdi Anyaehie, and the Governor’s Principal Secretary, Dr. (Mrs.) Irene Chima, all joined the Governor in welcoming his guests.
