In a historic event on Friday, April 25th, 2024, the esteemed people of Onicha Agu Ndi Agu Amagunze, an autonomous community in Nkanu East LGA, Enugu, elected High Chief Sam Nnam as their Traditional Ruler-elect.
Amidst a backdrop of camaraderie and peace, Mrs. Ozagu Ogochukwu, Director of the Chieftaincy Department, led a ministry team to oversee the election process, lauding the community for their exemplary conduct.
Prior to the election, Mrs. Ogochukwu emphasized the significance of selecting a Traditional Ruler who embodies qualities of peace, development, and security consciousness. She underscored the importance of electing a leader who would represent the community effectively and foster an inclusive government. Additionally, she provided guidance on expediting the government’s presentation of the certificate of returns to the newly elected Traditional Ruler.
In his heartfelt address, Traditional Ruler-elect High Chief Sam Nnam expressed profound gratitude to his constituents for bestowing upon him the honor of leadership. He pledged unwavering dedication and vowed to uphold the trust vested in him by the community.
