The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency is seeking the public’s aid in identifying a woman depicted in a viral video assaulting a baby for a floor urination incident.
Expressing condemnation for the incident, the agency issued a plea via its verified Twitter handle @LSdsva, urging individuals to assist in locating the woman.
In the widely circulated video, the woman is seen striking the baby with a rod, disregarding the child’s distress, and even pushing the baby to the ground, applying force with her legs.

The perpetrator’s relationship to the child—whether mother or caregiver—is yet to be confirmed.
In response to the distressing footage, DSVA implored the public to come forward with any information regarding the incident’s location or the identity of the individual involved.
The agency’s statement reads, “Trigger warning. Our attention has been drawn to the video.”
