Governor Uzodimma- “I’m Ready For Southeast Economic Turnaround”

Following his nomination by the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the coordinator of economic operations in the zone, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has declared his willingness to support the revival of economic activity in the South East. As one of the six governors appointed to serve as coordinators of activities in their respective zones by APC national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, the governor made this announcement in Abuja.

The decision made by Uzodimma may have been influenced by his consistently exceptional performance in carrying out the duties that the party has placed upon him on both a national and regional level.

Taking to his social media platform to speak more on his new role, Uzodimma said, “the quest to offer greater service to the people had propelled the need to zonally coordinate activities of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) as our national chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, inaugurated zonal coordinators for the activities of our party with the major aim of rekindling relationships among members and coordinating party affairs and growth in the zones.

“Interestingly, I was inaugurated to coordinate our South East, accepting it as a call to more service for our party and the nation at large. Even before now, I championed the cause for unity in our party and across the South East, for national connection and development.

“Top on my focus will be the turnaround of economic activities in our region, discharged with utmost commitment and in harmony with my brothers and sisters from across the South East to actualize set objectives.”

While congratulating the governor of Imo State, Emma Enukwu, the APC’s deputy national chairperson for the South, stated that Uzodimma was now the most suitable and acceptable person to lead efforts in the South East so that the intended outcome would be realised. While endorsing Enukwu’s viewpoint, Henry Ikoh, a former minister of state in the ministry of science and technology, also mentioned that Uzodimma have the attitude, capacity, competence, temperament, and reach to mobilise support for the party in the South East for the sake of the area and the country. The leaders of both parties urged Governor Uzodimma to get full support for this new duty of serving the public.
