This announcement was made by Okey Kanu, the state Commissioner for Information, following the latest Executive Council meeting, which was presided over by Governor Otti. During his briefing to the press, Kanu highlighted the council’s decision to improve the Amachara General Hospital, ensuring it provides top-tier healthcare services. Similarly, the Abia Diagnostic Centre is set to be fully equipped to offer comprehensive diagnostic services to the public.

Moreover, the government has committed to the reconstruction of the 41.4-kilometer stretch of the Ohafia-Arochukwu Road. This infrastructure project is expected to improve road connectivity, facilitate easier transportation, and support local farmers by providing better access to markets.

Regarding the upcoming celebration of Abia State’s 33rd anniversary, Kanu mentioned that the event will be a subdued affair, reflecting a quiet day of recognition for the state’s achievements over the years.
