After a year and four months at the helm of affairs in Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke has made a significant move—settling into the Okefia Government House in Osogbo, marking his official residence.
Adeleke’s journey to Government House commenced on November 27, 2022, when he took the oath of office. Instead of immediate occupancy, he chose to remain in his residence in Ede, a neighboring town to Osogbo.
Despite facing criticisms from the opposition, particularly the All Progressives Congress, Adeleke stood firm in his decision to stay in Ede, citing ongoing renovations at the Government House as the reason.
In a recent statement, Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, announced the completion of the renovation works, signaling Adeleke’s relocation to the Government House.
The rehabilitation efforts encompassed various aspects, including refurbishing the main house, completing a previously abandoned multi-bedroom Guest House, remodeling existing structures, and overall facelift of the premises.
During the unveiling ceremony attended by top officials of the Osun State Government, Adeleke emphasized his administration’s commitment to enhancing state assets, whether inherited or initiated under his tenure.
