Dr. Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu State, congratulated the Muslim Ummah in the state and across the country on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast, and urged them to continue to demonstrate Ramadan’s lessons, including the virtues of love, tolerance, and perseverance, in order to move the state and Nigeria forward. Mbah also restated his commitment to investing every fibre of his being in working for the state’s comprehensive growth and turnaround, as well as the peaceful coexistence of its people. He mentioned this in his Eid-el Fitri goodwill message to the state’s Muslim Ummah on Tuesday, reminding Nigerians of the importance of being their brother’s keeper.
While also thanking the Muslim community in Enugu State for their unwavering support of his administration thus far, Dr. Mbah pledged to be governor for all, reaffirming his commitment to working with all segments of Enugu society to make the state a preferred location for investment, business, tourism, and living.

The governor also urged state residents and Nigerians to be positive and prayerful in the face of current socioeconomic issues, stating that he was confident that things would improve for the country. He wished the Muslim Ummah a joyous and peaceful Eid-el Fitr celebration, asking them to use the opportunity to pray for Enugu State and Nigeria as a whole.
