Four Brothers, 30 Others Arrested For Alleged Internet Fraud By EFCC In Enugu State

Four brothers, Egbo Chukwuebuka, Egbo Favour Chibuike, Egbo Ifeanyi Francis, and Egbo Victor, have been taken into custody by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)’s Enugu Zonal Command for suspected involvement in online fraud.

Thirty other people were arrested by the EFCC along with the siblings: Treasure Ugwueze Osinachi, Ejiakor John Chidiebere, Kingsley Dugwu Olisa, Eze Eric, Ekpe Chigbo, Eze Divine, Nnaemeka Gabriel, George Tochukwu, Uche Divine, Chiamelie Ede, Enenta Ebube, and Ugwuanyi Bright Ekpere.

A few others are: Odoh Collins Nnabuike, Okeke Harrison, Oriasotie Presley Meshack, Martins Chinedu Ugwu, Aloysius Chibuike Alphonsus, Ebuka Ike Comas, Okwudili Mmoyekwe John, Samuel Ogbonna Otti, Ekperechi David Ebube, Ugwu Ebuka Sebastian, Eli Izuchukwu Ogbonna, Eli Izuchukwu Ogbonna, Martins Chinedu Ugwu, Aloysius Chibuike Alphonsus, Sunday John Cross, Aroh Collins Chinecherem, and Miracle Ifeson Obiora are the others.

The sting operation, which was intelligence-driven, resulted in the arrest of the all-male defendants on Friday, February 9, 2024, at multiple sites throughout the state of Enugu.

Items recovered from them include mobile phones and different exotic cars.
