In an official announcement, the Federal Government has designated Wednesday, June 12, as a public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day. Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, conveyed this decision through a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Aishetu Ndayako, extending congratulations to all Nigerians on the occasion.
The statement emphasized the significance of reflecting on the contributions of Nigeria’s founding leaders and urged citizens to uphold the values of unity, security, peace, and indivisibility.
