Enyimba Economic City Development Company FZE, the developers of Enyimba Economic City, a 9,803-hectare Greenfield Special Economic Zone in Abia State, congratulates Geometric Power on the official commissioning of Aba Integrated Power Project (AIPP). The project is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) of Crown Realties Plc, Abia State Government, and Federal Government of Nigeria under the Made in Nigeria for Export (MINE) program of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
For the purpose of supplying power around-the-clock, the Aba Integrated Power Project ringfenced nine local governments in Abia State, including the commercial and industrial center of Aba. AIPP is a full utility company by the ringfence, including the generation, distribution, and marketing aspects of the power business’s value chain. On Monday, February 26, 2024, in the honorable presence of Nigeria’s President, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, an 188 MW gas-powered generation facility will be officially opened in Osisioma, Aba, Abia State.
Businesses and dignitaries from all throughout the nation are expected to attend the event.

African Export Import Bank, Cairo, Egypt, is the joint financier of Enyimba Economic City and Geometric AIPP, supporting one another. The Bank has inked a 90MW electricity Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the First Phase of Enyimba Economic City with Geometric AIPP, which is the acknowledged electricity partner for Enyimba Economic City. Thus, this historic event denotes not only the beginning of Geometric Power operations but also a critical step toward the $288.7 million project’s first phase’s launch.
Enyimba Economic City, which boasts growth sectors in manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, entertainment, education, innovation and technology hub, commercial, lifestyle residential, and aviation, is situated in three local governments of Abia State: Ukwa West, Ukwa East, and Ugwunagbo. The project’s first phase spans 1,499 hectares and comprises First Industrial Township and Logistics Park. It also features a full Origin and Destination (OD) inland port that is rail-connected to the Onne Seaport and Port Harcourt Seaports.
