Chukwunonso declared that they would not go on strike any longer as Peter Mbah, the state governor, had complied with all of their requests, which included raising the salary of doctors and other health professionals, improving financial and welfare conditions, and releasing the residency training budget.
He added that by making concerted efforts to turn the hospital into a brand-new, cutting-edge facility, the governor went above and beyond their initial goal.
The hospital’s doctors communicated their displeasure to the president, who thanked the governor for his action.
“We are glad that all our demands were fulfilled by the government, the gesture showed Governor Mbah was mindful of his promise to transform the healthcare sector through the right incentives, infrastructure and reforms.
