The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Enugu Branch has announced the passing of its former Chairman, Dr. Jude Ezegwui, who died on August 22, 2024. The news was confirmed by his elder brother.
In a statement, the NBA Enugu Branch expressed deep sorrow over Dr. Ezegwui’s death, highlighting his significant contributions to the Bar. Serving as Chairman from 2020 to 2022 and as Legal Adviser from 2014 to 2016, Dr. Ezegwui was a respected figure in the legal community. At the time of his death, he was a Council Member of the NBA – Section on Business Law.
The statement commended Dr. Ezegwui’s dedication and impact on the legal profession, calling on members to support his family during this challenging time and to keep them in their prayers. This loss follows the recent passing of his mother, Mrs. Christiana Nneka Ezegwui, just 18 months ago.
