Sir Chinyeka Ohaa has been named the Chairman of the Governing Council of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) by Dr. Peter Mbah, the Governor of Enugu State.
The governor also gave his approval to the appointments of Dr. Eric Oluedo, Gladys Ngozi Okoro, Hon. Chinedu Onu, Prof. Ikenna Chukwu, and Engr. James Ajibo Ifeanyi to the governing council.
In a Tuesday public service announcement, Governor Mbah also named Prof. Uchenna Ekwochi as Provost of the College of Medicine at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). The statement was signed by Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the Enugu State Government (SSG).
Additionally, Mr. Francis Aninwike will serve as General Manager of the Enugu State Structure for Signage and Advertisement Agency (ENSAA).

The announcement stated that the nominations were determined by the candidates’ exceptional leadership abilities, backgrounds, and experiences. It also stated that the appointments were intended to realign the agency’s institutions for the advancement of the state.
“It is expected that you will bring to bear your years of experiences and leadership qualities as technocrats and help the state to reposition these institutions and agency in line with the disruptive innovation and governance philosophy of this administration,” the statement added.
The SSG emphasized that the appointments take effect immediately on the date of appointment, even as they extended congratulations to the recently appointed officials.
