Enugu CP Issues Immediate Quit Order to Remnant Criminal Elements as He Storms Uzo Uwani LGA

The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, has issued an immediate quit order to the state’s remaining criminal elements, stating that they must either leave town or face their Waterloo. CP Uzuegbu stated unequivocally that the effort to completely eradicate them from the state would not stop. He disclosed this on Monday while leading a team of battle-tested police officers to Adani in Uzo-Uwani LGA, where two brothers, Mr. Ogbonna Fidelis Anene, 33, and Ogbonna John Onyeka, 25, were brutally killed on their way out of the farm on Sunday.

CP Kanayo, while expressing grief over the terrible occurrence, informed Adani residents that a crack team had been dispatched to bring the offenders to justice, while also boosting security in the border local government region. He praised Governor Peter Mbah for his desire to clear the state of all criminal elements, citing the governor’s support and investment in security as the reason for the state’s standing as one of the safest federating units in the country.

The CP urged the indigenous to continue about their lawful business, assuring them of the security authorities’ resolve and cooperation in securing them both at home and on their farmlands. He did, however, call to the public to be vigilant and provide security authorities with any pertinent information about suspicious people or illegal activities in their area.

Enugu Governor’s Wife Saves Premature Baby

“The Enugu State under the watchful eyes of the administration of Peter Mbah and the Nigeria Police can never allow the perpetrators of this evil act to go scot free. The government is displeased with this ugly report and we shall ensure justice for the Ogbonna brothers. That is the governor’s demand and that is the Inspector General of Police’s order.

“You can’t stop going to farm because it is your means of livelihood, but we are guaranteeing your safety. We shall clamp down on these criminals. Enugu is already too hot for them, but we shall make it even hotter for them going forward. So, I urge you all to take heart and count on us for your ceaseless protections,” the CP said.

Meanwhile, Town Union President General Emmanuel Utazi, speaking on behalf of the people, in the company of Hon. Matthew Idu and Barr. Vincent Diugwu, expressed delight at the Commissioner’s and his team’s visit, stating that Adani remained very peaceful people who relate to everyone and had never had a crisis with any community to warrant such murders. While commending Governor Mbah on the significant reduction in violent crime in the state, he asked the administration to devote special attention to Uzo Uwani, a wide border LGA with sprawling farmlands.
