Tesla, the brainchild of Elon Musk, has taken legal action against an Indian battery manufacturer for trademark infringement.
The lawsuit contends that the battery maker has infringed upon Tesla’s trademark by utilizing the name “Tesla Power” to market its products.
In pursuit of justice, Tesla is seeking compensation and a permanent injunction from a New Delhi judge.
According to details from the court proceedings available on the court website and reported by Reuters, Tesla has alleged that the Indian company persistently promoted its products under the “Tesla Power” brand, despite receiving a cease-and-desist notice in April 2022.
