The elites are to blame for the current condition of affairs in the nation, according to Ike Ibe, a former speaker of the Imo condition House of Assembly.
Ibe said that the elites in every sphere of society have fallen short of expectations in a Facebook post on Friday.
“It is the elites that destroyed Nigeria. The party leaders who give crooks tickets because of money,” he posted.
“The professors, who as returning officers, declare losers as winners because of money.
“The judges who give ridiculous judgments declaring obvious losers as winners because of money. All these characters are elites. They destroyed Nigeria.”
Since the naira was floated and the gasoline subsidy was removed, Nigerians have been experiencing more hardship.
In certain regions of the nation, kidnappings for ransom have also increased.
