Ebonyi Senator Secures Employment For 40 Unemployed Graduates

 

Senator Ken Eze, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and a senator from the Ebonyi Central zone, revealed that in his nine months in office, he has arranged 40 job openings for graduates in the zone.

 

The National Broadcasting Commission, Nigeria Television Authority, Federal College of Technology Education, Isu, Advertising Regulations Commission of Nigeria (ARCON), and other organizations employed the beneficiaries, according to Eze.

 

He stated that his main goal was to make sure that every graduate from his zone had a meaningful job or was equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for advancement.”I have been successful in finding employment for forty of my zone’s graduates thus far. These recipients can be independently verified, and it’s a rare accomplishment. While some worked for NTA, some for NBC and other MDAs.

“I am deeply committed to ensuring that I secure jobs for graduates in my zone and also to engage youths on various skills acquisition programme and training.“We do so because it is good we teach our youths how to catch fishes instead of giving them fish. When our youths are engaged, crimes and criminality will be reduced at barest minimum.

 

“Even as we do that, I am mindful of the need for peace and unity in my zone. That was why I hosted all stakeholders of Ebonyi Central during the Christmas period. I also used the occasion to share palliatives and funds to my people. It was the first of its kind.”

 

He added: “I am happy to inform you that the deplorable Amagunze-Ezzagu-Isu federal road was captured in the 2024 budget. The design of the road has been completed and very soon, work will commence on the road.

 

“In the few months, we will start construction of roads, installation of solar street lights and drilling of borehole in the four local government areas of the zone.”

 

He also urged the residents of the zone to assist and back Chief Francis Nwifuru, the state governor, in his unwavering commitment to changing the state.
