On April 1, 2024, at about 5:30 p.m., Enugu Police Command Operatives serving in Awkunanaw Police Division arrested Musa Abdullahi’m’, aged 22, in Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State, and recovered a Logistics Company’s Daylong Motorbike, which he fraudulently stole from its rider at One-Day, Agbani Road, Enugu, at about 3:00 p.m. on the same date.
The suspect’s arrest follows a report from the rider saying that the suspect stole the motorcycle while pretending to be a mechanic and capable of repairing it when it broke down at the aforementioned place in Enugu.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the suspect, after presenting himself as a mechanic capable of repairing the motorcycle, asked the rider to go to New Artisan, Enugu, to purchase a socket, which he said was responsible for the machine’s breakdown. The rider went on to New Artisan for the purchase, but returned to find the suspect not only missing, but also had fled with the motorbike to the remote Ogbadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State, where he was apprehended by the police.
Given this awful circumstance, the general people, particularly motorists, are reminded to be careful of who they let to help them in order to avoid falling victim to such criminals and their operations.
