In a recent development in Rivers State, Zacchaeus Adangor, a prominent figure known for his ties with former governor Nyesom Wike, has decided to step down from his position as commissioner. This decision comes after Governor Sim Fubara’s decision to redeploy Adangor to a new ministry.
Adangor, who previously held the position of Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of Rivers State, was reassigned to the role of Commissioner of Special Duties in the Governor’s Office. However, citing interference with his duties by Governor Fubara, Adangor expressed his dissatisfaction with the redeployment.
In his resignation letter addressed to the Secretary of the Rivers State Government, Tammy Danagogo, Adangor stated his refusal to accept the redeployment and announced his resignation from the Rivers Executive Council, effective April 24, 2024.
