According to reports, Nnewi, the commercial and industrial metropolis of Anambra State, is the safest commercial town in Nigeria that is favourable to investment. In an interview on Easter Sunday, Chief Atueyi Maduka, the President-General of Nzuko Ora (Nnewi Town Union), made this statement. Atueyi, who thanked the security operations in Anambra State, credited Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s security initiative for the congenialness and security in Nnewi.
Nnewi is one of the most secure towns in Anambra, thus he urged Nigerians to celebrate Easter without worrying about local security. According to Atueyi, a specialist in forensics and security, the state government and the traditional institution in Nnewi, led by HRH Igwe Kenneth Orizu 111, are putting up great effort to secure the town. He emphasised that Nnewi is an investment-friendly town and invited both domestic and international companies to conduct business there.
“Nnewi is one of the most secure towns in Anambra and Nigeria. It is business and investment friendly. Investors are welcome to do business here. There is no need to entertain any fear over security because the government security initiative is intensified and working positively”, Atueyi noted.
