The disappearance of John Udochukwu Elekwachi, a final-year student at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, has sparked fear and concern among many. Elekwachi, a campus blogger, was reportedly abducted by armed men from his lodge in the middle of the night, just days after completing his final year examination.
His sister, Uchendu, described receiving a distress call informing her of her brother’s abduction. Despite efforts to locate him and seek assistance from various authorities, there has been no update on his whereabouts.
The Executive Council of the Combined Social Sciences Students Association (Comssa), UNN chapter, issued a statement confirming Elekwachi’s disappearance and appealing for information to ensure his safe return.
Efforts to reach out to the Enugu Police Command for comment were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
As the search for Elekwachi continues, both his family and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing him home safely.
