Cabinet Shakeup: Soludo Set To Axe Underperforming Officials

A cabinet change that may result in the firing of the majority of Anambra State Governor Prof. Charles Soludo’s commissioners, principal officers, and managing directors of various parastatals and agencies is reportedly in the works.

After two years in office, Soludo is keen to bring new energy into his government, according to sources close to the governor who wished to remain anonymous. Reportedly, the goal of the reorganization is to get rid of long-serving officials who have fallen short of expectations.

Governor Soludo highlighted his dedication to openness and progress at the celebration of his two years in office. He said that his administration is concentrated on providing the people of Anambra State with concrete outcomes.

The planned reshuffle comes amid concerns over the performance of some officials and a desire to revitalize the administration with new ideas and energy.

However, when contacted, the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, stated that he is not aware of any planned cabinet reshuffle in the state. “I have not been briefed about any cabinet reshuffle in the state. I am not aware of such a plan,” he said.
