BRGIE Disagrees with IPOB on Biafra Sit-at-Home Dates

The BIAFRA Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE) has diverged from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) regarding the date for a sit-at-home event commemorating Biafran heroes who perished during the 1967-1970 Civil War in Nigeria. According to BRGIE’s Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa, the sit-at-home in Biafra land will span from May 29th to May 31st, 2024.

While IPOB had designated May 30, 2024, for the sit-at-home, Ekpa emphasized the necessity of a three-day observance to facilitate voting for the Liberation of Biafra. He highlighted the ongoing struggle faced by Biafrans, asserting that the war persists on various fronts despite its formal conclusion decades ago.

Ekpa outlined the voting schedule, urging Biafrans to actively participate in the self-referendum process. He emphasized BRGIE’s commitment to the Liberation of Biafra, emphasizing the proactive stance taken by the organization.
