The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has unveiled the results of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
With a staggering turnout, over 1.94 million candidates registered and participated in the examination, spanning across 118 towns and boasting over 700 examination centers nationwide.
The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, formally announced the release of the UTME results during a press conference held at the board’s headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, on Monday.
This year’s examination, which commenced on Friday, April 19th, concluded on Monday, April 29th, 2024.
JAMB took extra precautions in meticulously scrutinizing the results to uphold the credibility and integrity of the examination. Deliberately delaying the release by a few days allowed for thorough examination, ensuring transparency and resolving any potential issues such as impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractices.
