The autopsy report for the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, suggests a potential drug reaction as the cause of his tragic demise. Details from the report, obtained from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, reveal a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Various bodily samples, including gastric contents, blood, bone marrow, liver, kidney, and lung tissues, were collected for toxicology testing. Despite an injury on his right forearm and moderate to severe decomposition, no direct cause of death could be determined.
The toxicology findings unveiled the presence of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine commonly used to treat allergies and other conditions. However, the concentration detected was not within a fatal range, leaving the exact cause of death inconclusive.
The medical report sheds light on the sequence of events leading to Mohbad’s passing, including an alleged injection administered by a supposed nurse, followed by a convulsive episode. Unfortunately, due to the swift burial of the deceased, the timely collection of blood samples for further analysis was hindered.
