The Anambra State Government, through its Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA) Brigade, has apprehended one Mr. Ike Okoye in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area of the state. The individual was taken into custody for allegedly molesting and engaging in same-sex activities with young boys in the community.
The incident came to the attention of the authorities after receiving a report from the President-General of Isuofia Peoples Assembly, Chief Jude Chikadibia-Okeke. According to Chief Okeke, Mr. Okoye had been engaging in such inappropriate behavior for a considerable amount of time. However, whenever he was arrested, he would manage to secure his release through the intervention of influential individuals within the state.
Chief Okeke further elaborated on the events that transpired over the weekend. He stated that they caught Mr. Okoye in the act of engaging in sexual relations with young men, which led to his subsequent arrest by the authorities.
