Anambra Joint Security Force Raids Ogbaru Camp, Recover 9 Home Made Bombs, Other Items

In continuation of its efforts to clear Anambra State of mysterious gunmen who attacked security formations in the state, the Joint Security Force invaded Ogbaru woodland last Friday and made a haul of home-made bombs and walkie-talkie According to a statement made by State Police spokesman Tochukwu Ikenga, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, the Joint Security Force searched places in the Amiyi and Ochuche communities. Ikenga added that troops from the Nigerian Army and Navy contributed significant firepower to the operation, which fully ousted the hoodlums from their hideouts in the forest.

 

According to him, multiple camps were discovered and demolished during the operation, which lasted several hours. Overall, nine Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) discovered from the camps were successfully defused by the Police Bomb Squad. Aderemi Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police, praised the military for its unwavering assistance in the fight against crime. Adeoye also complimented other security agencies and Vigilante Groups across the state for their amazing collaboration, which is producing fantastic results in keeping Anambra State safe.

 

He also warned cultists running amok in the State Capital that their days are numbered, stressing that security will not fold its hands and watch them destabilise the State in the name of cult rivalry, resulting in fatalities.
